THE KAJJI FOUNDATION

eCollect Managing Director, James Woods, is the Principal Trustee of The Kajii Foundation whose mission is to guide talented young Australians to achieve their potential for themselves and their communities.

The Kajji Foundation commenced as a project to bring indigenous young sportsmen from Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory to Melbourne.

Initial funding for the project came from private sources including eCollect.

During 2009, Shane Hayes and Nathan Morrison from Tennant Creek arrived for terms 2 and 3 of Australian Rules Football with St Kilda City and education at St Michael's Grammar School who provided scholarships without charge.

James Woods hosted Shane and Nathan at his home before they moved into separate accomodation with parents of St Michael's students.

A further 3 students arrived for the second half of 2009 and were provided scholarships to CBC St Kilda.

It is expected that 7 students from Tennant Creek will be involved in 2010.

eCollect continues to provide funding and administrative support to this deserving initiative.

The work of The Kajji Foundation can be found at www.kajji.com.au.
